What is GDPR;

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a data protection law in the EU, which came into force on May 25th 2018.

What information is collected by A String of Wishes;

When you place an order we store the following data: Your Name, postal and billing address, email address, telephone number and IP address. This information is used solely for the purposes of shipping your order, PayPal payment tracking, as well as to contact you with any information regarding your order. This information is accessible to only myself, Katie Jordan of A String of Wishes.

Marketing;

We do not and will not use any of your personal information for marketing purposes.

Security and retention of your personal data;

Your privacy is important to us and we will keep your personal data secure in accordance with our legal responsibilities. We will take reasonable steps to safeguard your personal data against it being accessed unlawfully or maliciously by a third party.

We also expect you to take reasonable steps to safeguard your own privacy when transferring information to us, such as not sending confidential information over unprotected email and ensuring email attachments are password protected or encrypted. Your personal data will be retained by us electronically for a minimum of three years. A String of Wishes is password protected and antivirus protection is also in place to protect against potential intrusions and malicious logins to the site.

Right to erasure;

At any time you may contact me to delete your personal data from our site, this can be done via the ‘Contact Us’ page on the website.

Payment;

All prices are shown in UK pounds sterling, and are inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate. Payment can be made through Paypal (no Paypal account is required). Wholesale payments, by Paypal or by Bank Transfer, as detailed on our Order Form.

Dispatch and backorder restock times;

Customer orders – in stock items will be sent out usually within 1-3 working days.

Wholesale orders – in stock items will be sent within 5-7 working days depending on size of order. Approx. timescale will be given to wholesaler during order process.

Backorder items we aim to restock within 10-14 working days.
If there is to be a long delay in shipping your items, we will notify you by email.
If your order contains a mix of in stock items and backorder items we will ship when all pieces are ready to dispatch.

Postage & Packing;

Customer orders;

UK – weight based, starting from £1.50 Royal Mail 1st class.

WORLDWIDE – weight based, starting from £8.99 Royal Mail ‘Tracked and Signed’

Wholesale orders;

UK – weight based, starting from £3.99 Royal Mail 2nd class ‘Signed For’.

WORLDWIDE – weight based, price quoted on application.

Returns;

If for any reason your order does not fulfill your expectations, you may return it to us within 7 working days of receipt. We will offer you an exchange or a refund provided that the items are returned to us complete, in perfect condition, and in the original shipping packaging. We cannot offer an exchange or refund if this is not the case or if your bracelet has been worn.

We cannot be responsible for returned parcels lost in transit. We strongly recommend that you obtain proof of posting when making a return. Return postage will not be refunded.
